Arsenie Boca a fost eliberat de securişti pentru că acestora le era frică de el, de puterile lui mai bine zis. Când frica a atins cote maxime, securiştii l-au eliberat cu domiciliu forţat. Frica celor care îl ţineau captiv pe sfânt a pornit de la faptul că în fiecare noapte, la miezul nopţii, uşile închisorii se deschideau singure. 

La început, Arsenie Boca a fost suspectat că ar fi avut iarba fiarelor, o plantă  care ar fi capabilă să deschidă orice lacăt. Când s-au convins că nu are planta, securiştii s-au înspăimântat şi l-au eliberat. În plus, celula în care a fost închis Arsenie Boca era una specială, precum cele din filme.

Securitatea l-a ridicat pe parintele Arsenie de la Sambata pentru ca se stia ca face minuni si vin puhoaie de oameni la el, potrivit mărturiei lui Baglazan Dumitru. În '44, de exemplu, a spus la slujba oamenilor sa-si aduca copiii de la Bucuresti acasa ca va veni un prapad, si la putin timp dupa aceea a fost cumplitul bombardament american.


"Le era groaza ca acum, in timpul comunismului, le va spune oamenilor cu aceeasi claritate care este realitatea. Si din cauza aceasta l-au luat la Securitate si l-au schingiuit mult, saracul de el. 

 Problema era ca desi el nu se misca din fundul celulei, ci sta in genunchi si se ruga, in fiecare noapte la ora 12.00 se deschideau usile inchisorii. Celula era un loc imprejmuit, intr-o sala uriasa ca o hala. Iar in mijlocul acestei hale, statea la o masa, permanent, un subofiter de paza, care-l supraveghea fara incetare", povesteşte Baglazan Dumitru.

L-au scos, l-au batut si l-au facut in fel si chip sa le spuna cum face, caci ei credeau ca are iarba fiarelor, cu care umbla aricii in bot, iar el cum a stat tot timpul in padure la Sambata, a facut rost de iarba aceea si o pune pe lacat. Dar el cum sa puie iarba pe lacat daca statea tot timpul in genunchi in fundul celulei si erau si doua randuri de usi?

Intr-o noapte, au bagat doua iscoade securiste la el in celula ca sa-l vada cum face. Parintele, insa, nu a avut treaba cu ei. Ei il tot intrebau, se tot luau de el, iar el in celula tot sta in genunchi si se tot ruga. Noaptea, la ora 12.00, cand s-au deschis lacatele, pe securisti parca i-ar fi lovit fulgerul lui Dumnezeu, i-a razbit frica si au fugit de acolo.


Si, de la o vreme, nimeni nu mai voia sa faca de paza, pentru ca le era frica. Pe comandant l-a luat si pe el frica si ce-a zis: eu, ca sa scap si sa-mi spal mainile, ii aduc pe toti aici sa vada si pe urma nu il mai tin.
Intr-o seara, unchiul lui Baglazan Dumitru, care lucra în Securitate, i-a spus ca in noaptea aceea o să îl ia cu el sa vadă un calugar de la Sambata, care deschide rugandu-se usile de la inchisoare.

 "Asa ca am ajuns acolo seara, fiind si eu curios sa vad. Toata Securitatea era atunci acolo. Eu am stat pe scari, ca nu am mai avut loc sa intru, si cu totii asteptam sa vina ora 12.00 noaptea sa vedem daca-i adevarat. Si, ce sa vezi, nu asa ca s-a deschis doar un lacat, norocul meu a fost ca m-am tinut de balustrada scarilor, ca la 12.00 noaptea bara de la usa temnitei a sarit cat colo si tot amarul de lume care era jos s-a napustit inspaimantata pe scari in sus.

De frica nu mai stiau ce sa faca, se calcau in picioare. Din ceasul acela, nu l-au mai tinut acolo, i-au dat drumul cu domiciliu fortat. Mie mi-a spus unele din lucrurile acestea unchiul meu. Dar am vazut cu ochii mei lacatele deschizandu-se si bara aceea sarind in laturi si securistii aceia care erau oameni in varsta, nu tineri ca mine, care aveam 18-19 ani, fugind de mancau pamantul.

Multa vreme dupa aceea, cand mai mergeam cu unchiul meu pe la restaurant, prietenii lui securisti numai de asta vorbeau", a mai povestit Baglazan Dumitru.

The Twelve Great Aspirations of Medicine Buddha

The 1st* 

"At a future time when I have attained unsurpassable, ultimate, and perfectly complete enlightenment, having come to full awakening, then may the light of my body make brilliant, stable, and especially radiant the realms of this universe that are numberless, immeasurable, and beyond any count. May all sentient beings be adorned with the thirty-two marks and eighty characteristics of a great, noble being. Thus may all beings become just as I am." So he prayed. 

The 2nd* 

"At a future time when I have attained unsurpassable, ultimate, and perfectly complete enlightenment, having come to full awakening, may my body resemble precious lapis lazuli, and be fully adorned with utter purity within and without, aradient clarity free of stains, agreat agiity in all things, blazing glory and brilliance, physical symmetry, and a filigree of light rays brighter than the sun and moon. For those born within this world and for those who have gone there serperate ways into the dark of the dead of night, may my light come in all directions bringing happiness and contentment. May it also brng about virtuous activity." So he prayed. 

The 3rd* 

"At a future time when I attained unsurpassable, ultimate, and perfectly complete enlightenment, having come to full awakening, through my wisdom and immeasurable skillful means, may countless realms of sentient beings have innexhaustable wealth. May no one be deprived of anything." So he prayed. 

The 4th* 

"At a future time when I have attained unsurpassable, ultimate, and perfectly complete enlightenment, having come to full awakening. I will place on the path to awakening any sentient being who hs entered a negative path. All those who have entered the shravaka path or the pratyekabuddha path, I will guide into the mahayana." So he prayed. 

The 5th* 

"At a future time when I have attained unsurpassable , ultimate and perfectly complete enlightenment, having come to full awakening, may any sentient being near to me maintain celibacy. Likewise through my power may other innumerable sentient beings beyond measure, having heard my name, hold there three {set of} vows and may their discipline not deteriorate. May those whose discipline has been corrupted, not enter into the lower realms." So he prayed. 

The 6th* 

"At a future time when I have attained unsurpassable, ultimate, perfectly complete enlightenment, having come to full awakening., may any sentient being who has an inferior body, incomplete faculties, an unpleasant colour, a virulant, epidemic disease, impeared limbs, a hunchback, splotchy skin, may any being who is lame, blind, deaf, insane, or struck by illness, upon hearing my name, for each one, may their faculties become whole and their limbs be made perfect." So he prayed. 

The 7th* 

"At a future time when I have attained unsurpassable, ultimate, perfectly complete enlightenment, having come to full awakening, for any sentient being whose body is riddled with the pain of various illnesses, who has no refuge, nor protector, no material goods nor medicine, no throng of relatives, and who is poor and suffering. When my name comes to their ears, may all their diseases be pacified. Untill awakening, may they be free of illness and remain unharmed." So he prayed 

The 8th* 

"At a future time when I have attained unsurpassable, ultimate, and perfectly complete enlightenment, having come to full awakening, if some people are intensely afflicted by the faults of a negative birth, dispised for having it, and wish to free of that place birth, may they be liberated from taking this negative birth again,. Untill they attain ultimate awakening, may a positive rebirth always arise for them." So he prayed. 

The 9th* 

"At a future time when I have attained unsurpassable, ultimate, and perfectly complete enlightenment, having come to full awakening. I will free all sentient beings from the maras' noose. I will establish in the correct view all those in disharmony due to various views and the problems of discord. Ultimately, I will teach them the practices of bodhisattvas." So he prayed. 

The 10th* 

"At a future time when I have attained unsurpassable, ultimate, and perfectly complete enlightenment, having come to full awakening, may the power of my merit completely liberate {beings} from all harm; those who are tormented by the fear of a ruler, who are in bondage and beaten {not like that!}, who have fallen into a trap, who are sentenced to death, who are under the heel of deception, who are not successful, and whose body, speech and mind are afflicted by suffering." So he prayed. 

The 11th* 

"At a future time when I have attained unsurpassable, ultimate, and perfectly complete enlightenment, having come to full awakening, for those who are burning with hunger and thirst, and who commit negative actions in their continuous efforts to search for food, may I satisfy them physically with food that has {a pleasing} colour, odour, and taste. Later I will bring them to the most blissful taste of the dharma." So he prayed. 

The 12th* 

"At a future time when I have attained unsurpassable, ultimate, and perfectly complete enlightenment, having come to full awakening, for those who experience suffering day and night, being naked with no clothes to wear, poor and miserable, {too} cold or hot, afflicted by flies and maggots, I will give generously whatever they can enjoy, {such as} clothes that have been dyed many colours, I will fulfill all their wishes just as they desire with a variety of prcious ornaments and decorations, necklaces, incense, ointments, the sound of music, musical instruments, and cymbals." So he prayed. 

Manjushri, these are the twelve aspirations made by the Victor, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfect Buddha, the Lapis Lazuli Light of Medicine, when he was practicing the conduct of a bodhsattva.

Medicine Buddha Mantra

The Medicine Buddha is the Buddha of healing. Historically, it is believed helpful to meditate on his image and to chant his mantra with the desire to alleviate suffering and attain enlightenment.

The Medicine Buddha is an enlightened being who has unbiased compassion for all living beings. He protects living beings from physical and mental illnesses and other dangers and obstacles, and helps them to eradicate the three poisons-attachment, hatred, and ignorance-which are the source of all sickness and danger. He is the Buddha Doctor.”

The meaning of the short mantra (in Tibetan)
TEYATHA / OM BEKADZE BEKADZE / MAHA-BEKADZE RADZA / SAMUDGATE SOHA

Bekadze means eliminating pain, Maha-Bekadze means great eliminating of pain. One explanation of the meaning of the first Bekadze is that it refers to eliminating the pain of true suffering, not just of disease but of all problems. It eliminates the pain of death and rebirth that are caused by karma and disturbing thoughts. 

The first Bekadze eliminates all the problems of body and mind, including old age and sickness.

The second Bekadze eliminates all the true cause of suffering, which is not external but within the mind. This refers to karma and disturbing thoughts. It is the inner cause that enables external factors such as food and exposure to sunlight become conditions for disease.
If someone has created the cause, as long as they do not do anything to purify it, the cause will definitely bring its own result, just as a seed that is planted will definitely result in a sprout as long as it is not eaten by birds and so forth. Once there is a cause, as long as there is no obstacle to the cause, it is natural to experience its result.
So, the second Bekadze refers to eliminating the cause of problems, karma motivated by disturbing thoughts.

The third phrase, Maha-Bekadze, or great eliminating, refers to eliminating even the subtle imprints left on the consciousness by disturbing thoughts.

The Medicine Buddha mantra actually contains the remedy of the whole graduated path to enlightenment. The first Bekadze contains the graduated path of the lower capable being in general; the second Bekadze, the graduated path of the middle capable being in general; and Maha-Bekandze, the graduated path of the higher capable being. The whole graduated path from the beginning up to the peerless happiness of full enlightenment is contained in the Medicine Buddha mantra.

Reciting the mantra leaves imprints on our mind, so that we are also able to actualize the path contained in the mantra. It establishes the blessing of the whole path within our heart; we can then generate the whole graduated path to enlightenment, which is signified by Bekandze Bekandze Maha Bekandze.The om is composed of three sounds, a, u, and m, which signify the Medicine Buddha's completely pure holy body, holy speech, and holy mind. Actualizing the whole path to enlightenment purifies our impure body, speech, and mind and transforms them into the Medicine Buddha's pure holy body, holy speech, and holy mind. We then become a perfect guide for living beings.
