Atlantis: The Truth
A very plausible solution to the Atlantis mystery is that Plato's Atlantic Island was located in the Mid-Atlantic and that the island chain known as the Azores are its surviving remnants. This cluster of nine main islands is located amid a chain of underwater mountains that rise to heights in excess of 9000 metres.
They form part of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge which defines the division between tectonic plates, aligned approximately north-south beneath the ocean floor for some 17,600 kilometres. It is the tips of the very highest of these subterranean mountains that protrude from the ocean floor as the principal islands of the Azores, which are themselves endowed with sizeable mountains that soar to a height in excess of 2100 metres. the Azores once formed part of a much greater landmass which sank beneath the waves and is now situated 'many thousands of feet' below the current sea-level. To obtain a more substantial insight into this fascinating subject, the O'Briens propose that a scientific team take a series of core samples from the proposed sites of their river channels. They confidently predict that these will show not only evidence of ancient river beds, but also of the freshwater flora and fauna which once thrived on the former Azorean landmass.

Atlantis Found: Giant Sphinxes, Pyramids In Bermuda Triangle

It’s odd, don’t you think, that the lamestream media in this country doesn’t cover this spectacular discover, nor the ruins found off the coast of India, Japan and Greece, to name a few?
To clarify a common misconception, “Atlantis” was not a ‘city’, but both a continent in the middle of the Atlantic, and a civilization that was probably worldwide.
When researchers locate remains they claim is “Atlantis”, it’s confusing because Atlantis is still mythical to most of Humanity and we’ve heard about “The Lost City of Atlantis”.
At any rate, there are multiple ruins under the sea that are probably remnants of the Atlantean civilization. Below is some of the very convincing documentation that supports this, and isn’t it interesting that they have found sphinxes, when they are also in Egypt and now, we’ve learned, on Mars?

They discovered the submerged ruins of the ancient city off the shores of Cuba. In the distant past the region was dry land, but now only the island of Cuba remains above water. The ancient city is 600 feet below the ocean and the team of researchers led by Weinzweig and Zalitzki are convinced it is Atlantis—the city lost for more than 10,000 years.

Two scientists, Paul Weinzweig and Pauline Zalitzki, working off the coast of Cuba and using a robot submersible, have confirmed that a gigantic city exists at the bottom of the ocean.
The site of the ancient city — that includes several sphinxes and at least four giant pyramids plus other structures — amazingly sits within the boundries of the fabled Bermuda Triangle.
The disaster may have occurred at the end of the last Ice Age. As the Arctic icecap catastrophically melted it caused sea levels to rise quickly around the world, especially affecting the Northern Hemisphere. Coast lines changed; land was lost; islands (even island continents) disappeared.

At the end of last Ice Age sea levels were nearly 400 feet lower than
present day levels. Once the waters began to rise, they rose swiftly. Conceivably, no technology then, or now, could have saved Atlantis from its watery grave. The evidence that land in what’s now the Caribbean also sank into the sea concurrently seems pretty certain.
Arclein observes: “At the time uplifted portions of the Mid Atlantic Ridge subsided also including Lyonese and the home islands and land mass around the Azores. Even if that had not happened, this subsidence was amply large enough.

“This would have produced an orthogonal pressure forcing subsidence
to either East or West.Since the ridge between Cuba and Yucatan is the natural point of weakness between the Gulf subsidence basin and the Caribbean subsidence basin, it naturally subsided deeply.
The driver for all this was the hydrostatic changes brought about by both the original crustal shift of 12,900 years ago that I have called the Pleistocene Nonconformity and the slow uplift of the Hudson Bay Basin brought about by the ending of the Ice Age.”
Cuban missile crisis stops research
According to journalist Luis Mariano Fernandez the city was first discovered decades ago, but all access to it was stopped during and after the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The science team of deep ocean experts, archaeologists and oceanographers found ruins of ancient buildings 600 feet below the ocean. They say the city is Atlantis.

The gigantic structure, also perhaps larger than the Great Pyramid of Cheops in Egypt, and initially identified by a doctor in the 1960s, has been independently verified by diving teams from France and the U.S.
A discovery that rewrites world history
Fernandez writes, “It has confirmed that the stones were cut, carved and polished to make them fit together and thus form larger structures. On the strange inscriptions, some of them similar to Egyptian hieroglyphics, very little is known, except that they are very abundant and found in almost all parts of the field. They have also appeared symbols and drawings whose meaning is unknown.”
The exploration of Atlantis, called Project Exploramar, is expanding to discover more of the mysteries of the mega-city.
“…in the Yucatan cultures today is possible that what still remains of the aborigines of those places perhaps the Olmecs or some very primitive civilization of Yucatan, the northern part of Central America—originated according to them on an island that sank by a cataclysm. This island is called Atlanticú.”That too fits the stories about the sudden demise of the wondrous Atlantis.

“When we published the first news of this finding,” she said, “the University of Veracruz was interested in our work and we had recorded images of these structures on the seabed. Specifically, the Institute of Anthropology of the University excavations invited me. They were doing [studies] on parts and ruins of the Olmec civilization.

One of these families came to the coast of Veracruz, which are supposedly the Olmec. Others came to Central America and traveled to the Pacific coast, and these families created the civilization of the Americas as we know it today, because they distributed all their knowledge.
The Olmecs devolved from the survivors of Atlantis, a much superior culture destroyed aft the end of the Ice Age flooding.
The world was reshaped and a super-civilization destroyed, remembered for millennia only in legend and a passing refernce by the philosopher Plato.
But Atlantis was real, is real: scientists Paul Weinzweig and Pauline Zalitzki have found it.

Introduction
to Great Atlantis Flood Theory
The
Great Atlantis Flood Theory presents scientific evidence which
supports
the truth of the history of Atlantis, as recorded in the Dialogues
of Plato. According to the Dialogues, the history of
Atlantis, Attica
and Hellas was recorded in ancient sacred Egyptian records.
The Dialogues
reveal that an aged Egyptian priest showed these records to a
visiting
Greek statesman named Solon, known as the wisest of the Seven Greek
Sages and “Lawgiver” of Athens.
Solon translated the records
and wrote
an unfinished epic poem containing all the details of these
ancient
civilizations. This poem was subsequently recited by Critias
and recorded
in The Dialogues of Plato.
The Dialogues affirm that these
historical
records are not fiction but are indeed fact, and that the
perseverance,
tragedies and triumphs of the inhabitants of these ancient
nations,
as revealed in the records, are absolutely true!
The
Egyptian priest described the founding of ancient Atlantis by
Poseidon
and Cleito and the founding of ancient Athens by Hephaestus
and Athene,
at some date which was lost in antiquity.
Many generations of
empire
builders created their great kingdoms and established their
provinces.
These kingdoms grew and prospered, however as their cultures
evolved,
they formed vastly different governmental control systems.
In
9,600 BC, the burgeoning military-minded, male-dominated
aristocracy
of the Empire of Atlantis sought to subjugate the
freedom-loving, ecologically-friendly
and equality-minded Athenians.
This began a great war between
the two
empires. Battles raged throughout the provinces, and then as
the Athenians
were marching against the mighty City of Atlantis, Mother-Nature wrought
a dramatic end to the hostilities, the combatants and their
empires.
Suddenly the magnificent City of Atlantis was destroyed by an earthquake
and the Island of Atlantis sank into the sea, and the modest
homes and
fertile farmlands of the Hellenes were washed into the sea by
an “extraordinary
inundation,” which left only a remnant of Attica.

Great Atlantis Flood Theory presents evidence which supports

in 9,600
BC, in the Black Sea-Mediterranean Corridor, extending from
the Caspian
Sea to the Mediterranean Sea.
Glacial melt-waters, at the end of the Younger Dryas Ice
Age, raised
the level of the Caspian Sea (1.). An earthquake caused the
Manych-Kerch
Gateway (2.) to fracture, allowing the Caspian Sea to break
through
into the farmlands of Atlantis (3.).
Simultaneously the
earthquake
caused the Atlantean farmlands
to sink,
thus increasing the intensity of the flood waters from the
Caspian
Sea. The Island of Atlantis “disappeared” beneath the flood
waters
which filled the Azov
depression. The earthquake and resulting tsunami washed
away diverse islands (4.) in the Black Sea (5.).
The
earthquake and
tsunami also caused the Black Sea to flood into Attica (6.),
via the Sakarya
River Delta
and/or
to burst up through a proposed subterranean outflow channel
causing
the farmlands of Attica and Hellas (7.) to be washed away
into the
Mediterranean Sea (8.).

Great Atlantis Flood of 9,600 BC
The
aged
Egyptian priest presents an accurate account of the
torrential flooding
which occurred 9,000 years before Solon’s journey to Egypt. The priest
displayed an uncanny knowledge of history by citing the date
for the
catastrophic destruction of Atlantis at 9,600 BC. This date
coincides
with scientific evidence of catastrophic global flooding at
the end
of the Younger Dryas ice age, in exactly 9,600 BC.

The catastrophe begins when
One
beautiful morning, in 9,600 BC, a devastating impulse
rupture earthquake
suddenly hit Kerch, Crimea,
Ukraine; the
ancient location of the City
of Atlantis. The Tectonics of the Kerch
Peninsula reveal evidence of this
catastrophic
earthquake. The city of Atlantis was immediately leveled.
The earthquake
caused the southern portion of the Island of
Atlantis, north of the
City, to drop 8 to 10 meters; forming the Sea of Azov
depression. Just the day before the mighty City of Atlantis
was a
thriving metropolis; where people were laughing, crying,
being born
and dying, waging war and praying for peace; they were all
suddenly
silenced…..
The
area
surrounding the city of Kerch,
site of ancient
Panticapaeum
(Mithridat Hill) is located on Orogene
formation. This is a stable area of original earth
crust. The City did not sink because it is located on this Orogene
formation. The Kopet-Dagh tectonic
thrust
fault runs along the northern edge of Kerch
Peninsula, in Crimea and the Taman
Peninsula,
in Russia. Rupture zones run along the northern coast of the Kerch
peninsula, and also transverse to it in the Kerch
Strait and the Kazantip peninsula.
Scientific evidence reveals that an earthquake,
estimated at magnitude
8.9, hit Crimea during the late Pleistocene or early Holocene,
the date
of 9,600 BC rests comfortably within the middle of this time

The
Island of Atlantis and diverse islands in the sea
|
The
Sea of Azov was a vast well-watered plain, covered with
fertile alluvial
soil, before 9,600 BC. This wide expanse was an inviting
habitat, where
the Island of Atlantis was created by the excavation of a
navigable
ditch around the fertile plain.
The earthquake caused the
major portion
of the plain to sink. The earthquake generated massive tidal
waves in
the Black Sea. The tidal waves met flood of waters overflowing
from
the Caspian Sea and created a churning backlash which
inundated the
Island of Atlantis.
These giant waves drove inland inundating
the provinces
and sending waves up the river channels, which were already
swollen
from the glacial melt waters. The fertile plain disappeared
beneath
the sea, just as described by the sacred Egyptian records.
Plato’s dialogues
present an accurate geological account of how the Sea of Azov
was formed.
The diverse islands were located on the broad continental
shelf in the
north-western Black Sea (Danube Delta area). The waves from
the tsunami
washed away these islands and their inhabitants.

The Egyptian priest accurately described the
creation
of the original Archipelagos; which was the ancient name of
the islands
in the Aegean Sea. He accurately described the geological
transformation of the
former Aegean fertile plain into the modern Aegean
Sea.
This description is supported by scientific evidence that
the
area of the Aegean Sea was above sea level in 9,600 BC. How
could
these events have been so accurately recorded in ancient
times, unless
the sacred Egyptian records actually existed?

Modern geography
of Bosporus,
Marmara and Sakarya river Delta.
The waves generated by the tsunami in the
Black Sea,
broke through the Sakarya River
Delta; into Lake Sapanca
and Izmit Basin.
This explains the presence of Caspian Sea mollusks in
the Black
Sea, Sea of Marmara and the
Dardanelles.
The Egyptian priest reported that a river called the Asopus
ran through the fertile farmlands of the Empire of the
Hellenes. This
river was fed by overflow from the Black Sea and water
seeping up
through many fractures in the proposed subterranean channel,
which
had many smaller tributaries.
The Egyptian priest reported that there
were
abundant fountains and springs of fresh water in the fertile
plain
of Attica. In our scenario these fountains and springs
were created
by various fractures in the proposed subterranean channel.
The increased hydraulic pressure from tidal
waves
in the Black Sea, possibly aided by the earthquake and
aftershocks,
catastrophically fractured the proposed subterranean outflow
channel
into the Mediterranean Sea.
The subterranean channel
ruptured from
the hydraulic pressure of the surging waters within the
channel beneath.
A series of three magnificent fountains, as geysers, broke
through
the fractures and erupted in the heartland of Attica. The
hydraulic
pressure of the immense geysers excavated the present-day Sea
of Marmara.
The farmlands of the Hellenes were washed
away by
the mixture of churning water and debris from the combined
fury of
the gushing geysers and the tidal waves, flooding into the Sakarya
River Delta, from the Black Sea. This catastrophic event
washed away
the fertile farmlands of the Aegean Sea area; leaving
only the bare bones as islands.

The Great
Atlantis Flood instigates
migrations
The putrid debris generated by this
catastrophe caused
wide spread disease, further decimating the small diverse
populations
of people and animals which had survived the earthquakes
and floods.
Atlantis was destroyed causing the remnant of the populous
to migrate
in every direction, away from the treacherous and putrid
seas.
The small bands of survivors from Atlantis began rebuilding their civilizations. They formed the cultures of the Neolithic age, as described by Prof. Siegfried Schoppe and Christian Schoppe in their Black-Sea-Atlantis Hypothesis. Once again the remnants of Atlantis were assailed by floods, as the rising sea level inundated many settlements, and instigated increased migrations. However, we propose a strikingly different theory of the opening of the Bosporus, than the controversial Noah's Flood theory by American Marine-Geologists Walter Pitman and William Ryan.
Mt. Athos is
proposed as original city of Athens
Athens, the ancient capital city of the
Hellenes was destroyed during the catastrophe and was relocated to its
present location. The Dialogues of Plato describe the re-founding of
Athens by Athene alone, in 9,600 BC.
The ancient location of Athens
may have been near Mt. Olympus, thus generating the myth of the
habitation of the gods being located on Mt. Olympus. However, due to
confusion generated over the passing millennia, and the migration of
place names (for example; Memphis, Egypt and Memphis, Tennessee), and
our own intuitive insight, we propose that the original site of Athens
was located on Mt. Athos, Greece.

After the earthquakes and floods, the level
of the
Black Sea lowered to the level of the outflow channel.
During the
next four millennia, the sea level of the Black Sea
fluctuated due
to varying climatic conditions.
The water levels of the
Black Sea
and the Caspian Sea rose quickly again, at the same time as
the world
ocean level rise, in about 5,600 BC.
The increased hydraulic
pressure,
generated by the rising water level and possibly with the
aid of tectonic
activity, in and around the Sea of Marmara, caused the
Bosporus land
bridge to fracture causing the opening of the Bosporus to
surface
flow from the Black Sea into the Mediterranean Sea.
The
initial
breach of the Bosporus land bridge instigated another
thunderous
discharge of flood waters cascading into the Mediterranean
Sea,
from the Black Sea; this great flood was another one of
the many
great deluges, described by the Egyptian priest, in the
long history
of misfortunes which have befallen, and still plague, the
ancient
motherland of the honorable Hellenes.
The modern straits of the Bosporus connect the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara. The opening of the Bosporus was the final step in uniting the Black Sea with the world oceans. After this breach the formerly fresh-water Black Sea began to become a salt water sea. |
In
summation,
our Great Atlantis Flood Theory presents the hypothesis that
The Dialogues
by Plato present an accurate detailed description of the
history and
geography of the ancient empires of Atlantis, Hellas and
Attica. We
present evidence that these ancient empires now lay, for the
most
part, beneath the Sea of Azov (Atlantis), the Black Sea
(island provinces),
the Sea of Marmara (Attica) and the Aegean Sea (Hellas).
Our hypothesis is supported by the correlation of modern scientific evidence with Plato's account of the ancient earthquakes and floods which devastated these ancient empires. The torrential flood described in Plato's ancient writings was truly a flood of biblical proportions! It destroyed the bulk of Human civilization in “one terrible day and night of misfortune.” |

These strange underwater pyramid structures at a depth of two thousand meters were identified with the help of a sonar according to oceanographer Dr. Verlag Meyer. Studies of other structures like Yonaguni in modern day Japan have allowed scientists to determine that the two giant pyramids, apparently made of something like a thick glass, are really impressive -- each of them is larger than the pyramid of Cheops in Egypt.
Recently American and French scientists as well as other countries that are conducting surveys in areas of the seabed of the Bermuda Triangle, claim to have found a pyramid standing upright on the seabed that has never been discovered.
The length of the base of this pyramid reached 300 meters, 200 meters height, and distance from base to the tip of the pyramid is about 100 meters above the sea floor. Preliminary results show this structure to be made of glass or a glass-like (crystal?) material, as it is entirely smooth and partially translucent.
When talking about size, this newly re-discovered pyramid is larger in scale than the pyramids of ancient Egypt. On top of the pyramid there are two very large holes, sea water at high speed move through the second hole, and therefore the raging waves roll by forming a giant vortex that makes the waters around this cause a massive surge waves and mist on the sea surface.
This new discovery makes scientists wonder if this is having an affect on passing boats and planes and could be the reason for all the mystery surrounding the area.

Pyramids of glass submerged in the Bermuda Triangle !!
These strange structures at a depth of two thousand meters were identified with the help of a sonar according to oceanographer Dr. Meyer Verlag. Studies of other devices have allowed scientists to determine that the two giant pyramids, aparentemente made of something like a thick glass, is really impressive structures, as each of them is larger than the pyramid of Cheops in Egypt. B. Meyer believes that disclosure of the secrets of the strange pyramids that are at the center of the triangle, could shed light on the cases of terrible and mysterious disappearances that are associated with the Bermuda Triangle.
In his press conference in the Bahamas, the scientist gave a report with the exact coordinates of the pyramids and the cards with his picture. In particular, the oceanographer said that the technology is unknown to modern science, and is designed in such a way that the pyramid is under water. Perhaps a more detailed study over time will give results that are difficult to imagine.
There are often reports on the pyramids. American oceanographers in 1990, discovered the underwater pyramids, which are located exactly at the center of the Bermuda Triangle. Scientists have processed all of the data and concluded that the surface is perfectly smooth, to look like glass or ice.
The size of the pyramids are nearly three times the pyramid of Cheops. This news was sensational, and was discussed at a conference in Florida. The journalists present in it, have a lot of pictures and high resolution computerized data, which show three-dimensional pyramids perfectly smooth, without being covered with a surface free of debris or algae or cracks. The question we ponder is why the matter is closed?

Atlantis’ Crystal Sphere and Dr. Ray Brown: Real or Hoax?
I came across this story while I was researching another topic. It’s a story that happened in 1970, being told by Dr. Raymond Brown and the crystal sphere he supposedly found while scuba diving in the Bahamas.
Here’s the guts to the story.
Dr. Brown and some friends were scuba diving near the edge of a submarine drop off called “Tongue of the Ocean” in the Bahamas. Brown got separated from the rest and went looking for them. He suddenly saw a pyramid shape sticking up from the ground. The submerged pyramid was 22 fathoms down, 120 feet high, and 90 feet of it was visible . He noticed the stone surface was completely smooth and mirror-like, and without seams between blocks.
He then proceeded to explore and found a hallway opening and entered. He came to a small rectangular room that had a pyramid ceiling. The room, he noticed, had no algae or coral growth whatsoever. The room was completely lit and very bright, although no light source was visible. He did not have a flashlight. He then saw a metallic rod hanging from the apex which was about 3 inches in diameter.
The end of this rod had attached a many faceted red gem, that came to a point. Directly below the rod and this red gem, was a pedestal in the middle of the room, and on this pedestal was bronze or metallic life sized hands. The pedestal looked like carved stone which was topped by a plate with scrolled ends.
The hands looked burnt and blackened. Inside the hands was a crystal sphere, that was 3 1/2 inches in diameter.
Brown tried to pry the gem and the rod out to take with him. But they wouldn’t budge. So he turned to the crystal sphere which he easily removed from the hands. He left the pyramid with the crystal sphere.
He claims that as he left the pyramid structure, he heard a voice telling him never to return and felt the presence of something.
He did not tell anyone about the finding of the crystal sphere for fear of it being confiscated. 5 years later he finally exhibited the crystal.
There have been paranormal events, strange phenomena, and claims of healing surround the crystal sphere. Supposedly, if you “gaze” upon the sphere, you can see three pyramids inside, in different sizes.
Some say they can even see a fourth pyramid. Psychic, Elizabeth Bacon, in her reading of the crystal, said it once belonged to “Thoth”, an Egyptian god who buried a secret vault of knowledge near the three Giza pyramids.
People believe that maybe the location of the fabled lost “Hall of Records” can be found by the location of the fourth pyramid seen in the crystal sphere. Good luck is all I have to say.
Brown also says that under certain conditions, and from a certain angle, you can see a large human “eye” staring out. Photographs of the ”eye” are rumored – none actually exist. If they do, no one has seen them.
Other claims include wind blowing when close to it, cold and warm layers surround it at varying distances, people have heard voices, seen phantom lights, and felt strange tingling sensations. A lot of the same claims we find with the mysterious Crystal Skulls.
If you watch the video, it states that metals are temporarily magnetized when in close contact. A compass needle will spin counterclockwise when next to the sphere. And the crystal repels a steel rod and makes it float or have no weight. (see video for demonstration of this).
Even supposedly one person was healed by touching the crystal, and then the next person who touched the crystal was inflicted by the ailment of the previous person. Now that’s a claim! The video is cool to watch, and if this truly a magnificent crystal with unknown powers, where is it today? Well, no one knows.
Dr. Brown only displayed this crystal a few times. And he claims that all of his camera equipment of the scuba diving that day was lost/destroyed due to a storm that hit that day. He also claims that because he didn’t have the correct coordinates of where he found this pyramid structure, he can’t find it again.
Well, how convenient. So I might ask – if you just supposedly found an ancient crystal sphere that you believe proves the existence of Atlantis – wouldn’t you show this off to everyone in the world?!?! And we haven’t heard anything else from Dr. Ray Brown since or seen any pictures or see proof of the claims.
I could not find, ANYWHERE, a picture of this crystal sphere. He must have it hidden or something. But the video below shows some amazing abilities that makes this crystal intriguing (and the crystal itself is shown) which aired on the show “In Search Of” in the 1970’s and 80’s, with Leonard Nimoy hosting.
I would love to believe that this crystal is indeed some artifact or remnant from the fabled Atlantis civilization. I would absolutely love it. I would jump for joy, up and down, up and down. My belief is that Atlantis is not just a fabled land from Plato’s mind.
Just about every ancient civilization on the planet has a story similar to Atlantis, just as they have similar stories about a Great Flood. So if you believe in the Bible and the Great Flood and Noah’s Ark – then why shouldn’t we believe in Atlantis as well?
But unfortunately I can’t do this with this flimsy evidence and story from Dr. Brown and his crystal sphere. I am actually amazed that this program on the History Channel actually aired this bit on Dr. Brown’s story, for this is nothing more than his claims.
No other evidence whatsoever. He did have it, supposedly, but it was lost. He can’t find the place again. He was with friends – did they not see this crystal? He didn’t show anyone? He just found a HUGE finding and he didn’t show anyone? I sincerely doubt that.
So you can make up your own mind. We know that ancient societies, and even today’s societies use the power of crystals for healing, looking into people’s minds, and prophecies. Not to mention to hold A LOT of data within our computers of today. Crystals do have powers of some kind. Will we ever be able to harness that power?
The phenomena we see with Dr. Brown’s crystal may be just the same phenomena we can see with any pure crystal. That doesn’t make it come from Atlantis though.
